THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF SUMMARY ABSTRACTS FOR ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS HAS NOW PASSED.
No further summary abstracts are being accepted.

Given the overwhelming response of abstract submissions, the ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION DATE IS NOW 23 APRIL 2007. Further, MEDECOS XI 2007 will be moving away from tradition and running three concurrent sessions. The Organising Committee apologies for the delay in notifying individuals and for the change in structure.

• The deadline for submission of abstracts (referred to as summary abstracts hereafter) for oral and poster presentations has been extended to 23 March 2007.
  
  
• Summary abstracts will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee.
  
  
• Summary abstracts not conforming to instructions will be rejected.
  
  
• Once summary abstracts are reviewed, you will be notified of the status of acceptance by 23 April 2007 and will be invited to submit an extended abstract for publication at a later date (see last dot point below).
  
  
• The Committee reserves the right to limit the number of presentations and to change the presentation type from oral to poster presentation.
  
  
• More than one summary abstract can be submitted. However, to ensure maximum participation, each individual is allowed to present only one oral presentation, but an individual may be a co-author on several summary abstracts for oral presentations. There is no limit on the number of poster presentations. Please use the electronic submission form for each submission by sending the proposed summary abstracts independently.
  
  
• When submitting a summary abstract, presenters should be confident that they will be attending the conference and making the presentation. If circumstances prevent attendance, the presenter should attempt to find another individual to make the presentation. If cancellation is unavoidable, please notify medecosxi2007@bgpa.wa.gov.au as soon as possible.
  
  
• Extended abstracts (comprising a mini-paper format inclusive of figure/s and table/s) will be published in a special conference edition. Extended abstracts will be reviewed and edited and therefore present a valid conference publication.
