Venue

The conference venue will be the newly completed, award-winning University Club of Western Australia situated on the beautiful campus of Western Australia’s oldest university - The University of Western Australia.  With its location overlooking the Swan River, the University Club provides striking vistas of Matilda Bay, the Perth city skyline and Kings Park and Botanic Garden. With only eight minutes travel time by car or bus from the Perth CBD or from Kings Park and Botanic Garden, the venue is conveniently located for daily travel between the Perth CBD, the University, and Kings Park and Botanic Garden.

Featuring a theatre auditorium with tiered seating, state of the art audio-visual system and wireless internet access, the University Club will provide a comfortable conference forum for oral presentations, whilst the poster sessions will be conveniently located in the banquet hall of the University Club. Those with wireless enabled computers may make a request at the Club's front desk (not the conference registration desk) for a password and user name.

Daily refreshments will be available on arrival each morning, together with morning and afternoon tea, and lunch.  All conference delegates will receive complimentary day use of the Club's cafe, which is a facility normally restricted to Club members only.

Accommodation

Suggested lodgings - hotels, apartments, a motel and a college - are provided below and have been pre-booked for delegates. You may choose to book your accommodation at these pre-booked lodgings directly with the hotel, apartment, motel or college, or you can book on-line.

All pre-booked lodgings are in the Perth CBD (please refer to the Perth map) with the exception of the college lodging that is located at the University of Western Australia. The conference venue - The University Club at the University of Western Australia - is located on the bank of the Swan River in Nedlands/Crawley, just southwest of the large green open area of Kings Park and Botanic Garden (see http://www.perthperth.com/map/ - please scroll to bottom of page to view the Perth CBD map and use the arrows to scroll around the map).

Buses frequently travel between the Perth CBD and the University, along Mounts Bay Road. You will find many of the listed accommodation, particularly the apartments, along Mounts Bay Road. A bus stop is conveniently located near most of the accommodation on Mounts Bay Road.

Aside from the pre-booked lodgings, you are welcome to source your own accommodation. We have provided some suggestions and contact details and/or websites for you. For these other suggested lodgings, please scroll further down the web page. Please note that these lodgings will not be provided on the on-line electronic accommodation booking form.
